Rules & Privacy

    Rules

      Submissions
    • All entries are to be submitted via the Entry Form located here.
    • Any entries submitted via email, forum posts, or any other means will be considered void and will promptly be discarded.
    • Any entries submitted after the October 14th deadline will be considered ineligible and will have to wait until the contest starts again the following year.
      Judges/Judging
    • Judges and BSC Members will decide on the top 10 finalists for the competition based on the following:
      Art
      Writing
      Layout
      Originality
    • Judges are free to promote, through their own sites, any comics/creators from this competition that they see fit.
    • Contestants are free to give feedback via the forums on anything the judges say about their comic.
      Voting
    • The five contestants with the lowest vote count will be eliminated during the first round of public voting.
    • Voting will then continue on a one-contestant-per-week elimination.
    • Voters will be voting for their favorite comic.
      Elimination
    • Eliminations will be handed out under one of three conditions:
      Contestant has the lowest tally of votes for the week/round.
      Contestant is caught cheating/coercing others to cheat for his/her benefit.
      Contest does not update per their set schedule for an extended period of time
         Certain circumstances are, of course, forgivable
    • Eliminated comics, regardless of parting reasons, will still be shown the following courtesy:
      Positive review in the forums
      Objective review on Bomb Shelter Radio
      Offered the opportunity to be on Bomb Shelter Radio

    Privacy

      Collected Information
    • Information about voters and contestants alike will be collected, such as:
      IP address
      Hostname
      Email address (contestants only)
    • Bomb Shelter Comics will not share this sensitive information with anyone.
    • At the end of each voting round all collected information from voters will be deleted to allow voting for the next round to take place.
    • At the end of the competition all sensitive information will be discarded.
    • Only administrators will have access to any of this information during the voting rounds.
